This one is a little less cozy than the first book and that kind of bummed me out. It isn’t giving small-town, cozy, Halloween love story vibes like the first book in the series. That being said, I enjoyed more of a view into the demon realm and the inclusion of Willow and Damian from the first book. The world building and storyline of the first half of the book was great, it just kind of got icky for me around 65% through when the

just dominated the book. Don’t get me wrong, I love spice, but I honestly wanted more plot and didn’t realize that my one spicy trigger was

the breeding trope? Which is weird since I’m a happily married female with a couple kids, so you’d think I wouldn’t have such a visceral adverse reaction, but here we are.

ALSO can I just vent a second

“Does my little wife want me to breed her” line gave me the ick and I almost DNF’d because the breeding trope took me out of the rest of the storyline.
