I have loved the Gamache series since I stumbled upon the first in the series 6 years ago. They are the only books I pre-order and begin reading the day I get them. I could not be more disappointed in this book. The main plot device was absurd on the face of it. Far too many people and too much time passed for the events to unfold as they did. I just never bought the whole premise. I realized the parts of the books that I loved were the parts that dealt with the Three Pines community. I hope if she writes a 20th book that if focuses again on that community as she doesn't seem to be able to create a credible political thriller.
