I know when K.A. Knight and Kendra Moreno team up it will be a wild ride and Cirque Obscurum was just that. The Cirque Obscurum is a place to be entertained but also to give help to those who need it. Im going to start out by saying this was an amazing story but please check the trigger warning. When Roger brutally beat and tossed Ember in the attic, he thought she’d be dead by the time he returned, but she wasn’t. Unbeknownst to her by touching a card she got from Cirque Obscurum years ago, magically called help to her. And that help was 4 large masked men who offer her a choice, stay or come with them. This is a why choose romance and why choose when you can have Diamond, Spade, Heart and Club! I loved that the Cirque brought broken people together and gave them a purpose and a family. Is this dark book, yes. Is it hella spicy, damn right. Cirque Obscurum is dark, bloody, bloody but also beautiful.
