Stranger Things: The Other Side (Graphic Novel)
by Jody Houser
When I saw Stranger Things had some comics, I just had to get them. I love this show and this comic was a great story that added to the overall story of the show, specifically giving us Will's experience in the upsidedown during the first season. The writers and artists did a great job conveying the fear Will experiences and just how dangerous this place is. It also gives a fuller/clearer picture of the trauma he suffered, giving more understanding to his behavior in season 2. It was interesting to see how events seen in season 1 that he didn't appear to be present for affected him as he tried to find his way home. I wanted so badly to be able to give this boy a hug, his terror and despair was so easily felt. I definitely recommend this read for any who enjoy the Netflix show, Stranger Things.
