It's a small book that packs a big punch.
I imagine that everyone has something they can take away from this book. The basics of vital subjects are explored concisely. A great starting point for anyone wanting to learn more about topics like race, class, gender and disability.
I found the history of racism horrifically interesting. I knew some facts already but I was surprised to learn how relatively recent the classification of race is. I also didn't know that the Catholic church was once again responsible for creating suffering and discourse that would traumatize generations. How very on brand.
Imani did her research and it shows.
