“What you do when no one is guiding you determines who you are.”
I absolutely LOVED this book, and had trouble putting it down. I love Avatar, and was thrilled that these books came out about possibly one of the most interesting avatar reincarnations mentioned in the show. Boy did they not disappoint.
This book tackles some deep themes (as Avatar is prone to), and ensures that Kyoshi is a very deep character, with flaws of her own. She's probably seen as the most morally gray Avatar based off of her personality in the show, and the information from this first book. I think that that makes her absolutely fascinating, and cannot wait to start book 2 to learn more.
