This book is, in a word, marvellous. The characters are delightful and their development really drew me in. The development of the magical world was perfect — well-crafted and intricate without being confusing. I would read more tomorrow.
4.5 (2024)— I don’t think I would call this 5 stars on my second read, but it came damn close. It’s a very immersive story, and I agree with my previous assessments about the characters and the magic system. There’s also a delightful dry wit about this book that I loved.
