I didn't read the curious whatever dog night time thing. Anything with dog in the title and I'm automatically out. But this sounded interesting - another book about familial death, this one with a mother with dementia, way to pick books Jenn. Turns out, not so much. Again characters I didn't like, even though the pretense - a family holiday in the English countryside - is usually a win for me. But randomly in the middle of chapters there are paragraphs of random book titles or descriptions of places and things that have nothing to do with the story or the people. I didn't understand or enjoy it.
