21 Lessons for the 21st Century
by Yuval Noah Harari
Absolutely critical reading. Yuval Noah Harari has done something truly profound and brave in this work. He takes the world and reality in its entirety and manages to streamline it in a non-trivial way. Bringing to light some of our deepest questions but in an honest, rational, and daring breakdown. I was enthralled the entire way. The final chapter about meditation and what the human mind is up against in the modern world is excruciating, but necessary. I myself look around at everyone I know and don’t know and wonder at the complete hijacking of our minds and essence by the great algorithms in the sky. And yearn for the nostalgia of ignorance or maybe just childhood in some strange way.
