This is the second book I've read by this author and I prefer The Kiss Countdown. I did not like the FMC Brianna at all. She really annoyed me and I felt like she was so one dimensional. The whole book was "I need boundaries so I can do my job well" and that's a really valid concern, but it didn't resonate for me well at all a written. I wasn't feeling the chemistry between Brianna and and Roman and the supporting characters annoyed me too! I tolerated Angie for her occasional comic relief.
There was one point where Brianna actually used the phrase "all that and a bag of chips" and not sarcastically. I physically cringed.
It probably also doesn't help that the only Roman I recognize is my book boyfriend from Natasha Bishop's Only for the Week 🥰
I added the half star rating because I liked the reveal at the school.
At the end of the day, I'm merely a reader. Shout out to Etta Easton, a published author 😀 👏🏾
