We Should All Be Feminists by Chimamanda Ngozi Adichie

First of all, I must say that I didn't watch the TED Talk in which the book is based before reading it. I feel like if I had I might have been a bit more mindblown.
I liked the book and I consider it to be a nice introduction to feminism grounds. But it didn't properly blow my mind because I think that all the things written in it, in quite an introductory and surface-level way, are already stated facts of how society works. I did like the wording and I respect the author very much for her position towards life, specially while being a member of a society that is a bit harsher on women and their rights.

"The problem with gender is that it prescribes how we should be rather than recognizing how we are. Imagine how much happier we would be, how much freer to be our own true individual selves, if we didn't have the weight of gender expectations."
