The Echo of Old Books by Barbara Davis

emotional hopeful inspiring mysterious sad medium-paced

5.0

💬 ”We read not to escape life but to learn how to live it more deeply and richly, to experience the world through the eyes of the other.”

📖 Synopsis: A rare-book store owner stumbles upon two beautifully bound books that have no author nor publisher attributed. She is determined to learn the origin of these books as well as the truth between the lines… little does she know, their story will impact her life more than she can imagine.

✒️ Review: Woah dang! This quickly became one of my all-time favorite books! The romance is palpable, the mystery is intriguing, the characters are deeply human. The experience of reading this wonderful book will actually impact how I live my life… just keep turning the page!
I loved the multi-pov style, it was very easy to follow and each character had distinct voices that were easy to distinguish. The parallel/conflicting stories in the two books was so frustrating in all the right ways… it felt SOO real!
