My only 5 star rating to date. I was not a big fan of the Poppy Wars, so I was apprehensive when Booktok started to recommend this. However, wow, I was completely floored at the elegance that this book carried while discussing many hard topics.  I think everything that needs to be said about this book has been said but this is Kuang's magnus opus and this book should be mandatory reading in any literature class.
