Cute concept. I enjoyed Eddie’s chapters so much more than Rowan’s, to the point where I kind of wish I could’ve just read a book about Eddie. I liked the appreciation for the natural world. But the attempted parallels between Rowan and Eddie’s experiences with failed relationships and trauma felt disjointed. And Rowan’s relationship with Seth didn’t feel believable to me. A bit corny.
