King's Cage by Victoria Aveyard

4.0

This definitely lived up to my expectations from going straight into it after Glass Sword. Though the beginning of the book could be described as slow compared to the first two, it was very interesting to discover more about the character of Maven especially, as he is much more complex and difficult to describe than I had thought at first, and see another aspect of the current events at Whitefire Palace, separate from the Scarlet Guard, as was described in the second book consistently. It definitely sets up well for the final book, which I can't wait to read next year!
