Tomorrow, and Tomorrow, and Tomorrow by Gabrielle Zevin

5.0

I don’t anything insightful to say about this book other than I loved it. I started it in an airport on a way to a work trip (which, after having finished this, seems rather fitting) and finished the rest of it in one day once I got back. The messaging about the industry and the power of games was one I found particularly impactful. I loved the characters—except Dov. Dov can go rot. Sam annoyed me at the beginning and Sadie did in the middle but the story ended feeling perfect. I was basically crying off and on the entire last quarter or so of the book which I think is a sign of a well thought out and meaningful story. The Pioneers chapters hit me especially hard. Even though I came into this thinking it was an entirely different type of book (TikTok greatly misled me), I loved it regardless. I very much want to read through Gabrielle Zevin’s bibliography now, starting with Elsewhere which was a middle school favorite of mine.
