I wanted to like this book. I’m all about a reverse age gap and don’t mind the single mom trope. But I could not take this FMC seriously. Beck had a bad run with her ex I get that. But saying that your kid deserves to have a terrible father just because he’s the bio dad was a bit … much. I believe that she learned her lesson, at least hopefully she did. I also am not a fan of lactation kink, so that was a lot for me.
Beau was what saved it for me. He was so sure and mature. I loved that he fought so hard for what he wanted with Beck and Jett.
The side characters were pretty good. But I was surprised at the description of Atticus as unclean-smelling - I don’t know, felt weird. The parents and Goldie are wonderful and so supportive. They really had to coach Beck through the beginning of this relationship.
