This one is for RPG fans who enjoy Romantacy but need something outside the norm. I wouldn't quite call it the anti-Romantacy, but it's refreshing to read a story where the FMC is Fae, a couple of hundred years old, and saves the human MMC.

I came for Instagram art and stayed for the Dungeons and Dragons: Honor Amongst Thieves Vibes. Because while the story goes deeper than some fun D&D humor, the author does an excellent job balancing the tension, humor, romance, and raw emotional scenes. The characters, both main and supporting, are rich and diverse. I appreciate the representation, the subtle portrayal of racism and prejudice, and the pressure of being the "chosen one" (and the BS behind it).

If you're looking for something different that satisfies the romantacy craving we can't help but have while also providing an engaging story that keeps you turning the page until you realize there won't be another until November, this is worth the read. I've already told all of my friends and will hopefully be lucky enough to snag the ARC for Splintered Kingdom when it releases.
