Six of Crows by Leigh Bardugo

5.0

It was about TIME I read this. I was a little wary after not liking the shadow and bone trilogy but Six of Crows was simply on another level.
The characters in this story all have questionable morals and motivations, they want wealth, they want status, they want revenge - and you can’t really trust anyone. Yet you root for all of them to pull off this seemingly impossible heist.
The structure of the story and when it decided to flashback and give context to the characters felt natural and needed, I wanted to learn more about them and what led them to this moment giving me bundles of empathy for them because of it. Leigh Bardugo was a master of raising the stakes higher and higher, with a cliff hanger that makes me begging for more.
