I have never felt more uncertain about a book than I have with this one. I wanted to like it and I did, but there was so much more I wanted out of the characters when it came to the sisters' relationship and wanting Ayoola to be served justice for everything she had done. I did like how the chapters went, flipped between the past and present, it explained the background of the characters, but some of them still needed some depth. The ending gave me mixed feelings but I still enjoyed the unique story nonetheless and how the author immersed the readers into the story.
