I love a good historical novel and Kate Quinn always hits the mark. The fact that it is based on real women’s lives, is that much more heartbreaking. (Reading the Author’s Note at the end of the book is necessary.) This book is an outstanding read. If you loved the Nightingale, I promise you will love this. The characters are flawed but easy to love and the historical aspect is actually breathtaking. Please go read this book!
