Hooked: How Crafting Saved My Life by Sutton Foster

5.0

I grew up admiring Sutton’s musical theatre career with her being a personal idol of mine since I viewed her as a close to perfect as you can be as a performer. Reading this book, not only did I learn about how she coped with the pressure of being the star I saw her as (and still do) but I got to see into her soul as she shares so beautifully her experiences of her life through hobbies. I had no idea what her relationship was like with her mother and getting to hear about her life right from her took her off this pedi stool I placed her on all those years ago and showed me that we’re not all the different. I felt like she wrapped me in one of her crocheted blankets and said “you’re gonna be ok because I did it too”.
