This is an amazingly written book. A lot of people dislike Rin and therefore dislike the book. I think that it is important to understand that rin is not a character that is going to make sound decisions and be perfect and lovable. I don't think that most people will love Rin's character. I personally do not love Rin's character but the entire situation is like a you're damned if you do and you're damned if you don't sort of thing.
The only reason this does not get a full 5 star is because personally, I would have loved to spend more time with Rin in part 1. I feel like there was a weird speed-up during Rin's time in the Academy and it felt like I missed out on something.
Nonetheless, it is such an amazingly written book, whenever I read such a complex well-thought-out book I think the author is simply a magician.
