- this is a beautiful book, a piece of art.
- hazel and james had the best romance. colette was the best character. fight me.
- i thought colette and aubrey's romance could have been fleshed out a bit more. it was a bit too insta-lovey for me. a lot of focus was on hazel and james.
- i appreciated the interesting persepective that the story was told from.
- i didn't realise how big a part the war played in the story. i thought it would be in the background more.
