Taylor songs: “out of the woods” “wonderland”!!!
This series gets so good after the first book, so you just have to stick with it, I promise it is worth it.
I’ve given it a fair shot, this is my second time reading it. The first time, I hated it, but it wasn’t bad this time. There is a lot of poetic language and writing that can tend to ramble on. The plot was fairly interesting, the romance was very insta-love (instantly falling in love) which was fine. I don’t know who is saying this is spicy, it is definitely not. It’s a lot of emotional intimacy. I know who they are setting up as the love interest, but I’m not sure if I can get there with that character. It’s just, meh. There’s some great world building, but I just can’t really connect with the characters yet.
BUT the next books are so great and like 10 times better. I find that with a lot of first books of the series, it’s more boring bc it has to set up the whole world building and characters, but the next books are better bc they don’t have to do so much exposition.
