Born with Teeth by Kate Mulgrew

Whenever I read a memoir or autobiography, I truly wonder what type a person I am reading about. How honest are they going to be? How truthful to us, but ultimately to themselves are they going to be?

Well, I needn't really worried, for Kate Mulgrew is brutally honest. She's lived her life to the fullest, she's made a ton of mistakes, but she owns them.

Interestingly, the overarcing theme in this book is loss. The one loss (amongs many in her life) that she wishes she could've had back. But, life seemed to work out. She was able to meet her daughter.

Then, finally she found true love. Along the way...she loved and lost a number of things, played all kinds of great roles on stage and screen. I knew her from her time on Star Trek: Voyager...which she explores in this book, too.

I'm glad I saw this book being talked about on Twitter, which got me to borrow it from our library. Pursue your passion. Leave nothing left in the tank. Live life, BIG. Kate Mulgrew.
