This series. This fucking series. I am in awe at Jay Kristoff's ability to tell a story, and his seemingly lack of fucks given over his reader's fragile little hearts. The feels, man! I found myself chuckling over the exchanges between the characters (Akihito, Michi, and the Blackbird especially) one minute and then the next I am completely gutted and getting snot everywhere and my dog is looking at me like I am something from the Exorcist and then I snot on her and... it was not a pretty sight.

The characterization is amazing. The world building is even better. Some things were so far-fetched but it was told so convincingly I was able to go along with it. The world is vivid and surprisingly, parts of it are relatable. I fell in love with this world and the people in it and am so sad to see one of my all time favorite series come to an end. I will have to reread this again in the future.

P.S. I also may or may not have jizzed a little every time Buruu or Yoshi were center stage.
