I really enjoyed this book.
the beginning of the story immediately had me invested. i really enjoy when you have ample backstory to a character, and you get to explore their life and relationships. the author does a superb job of easing you into the meat of the story. the build up was well done, and I really enjoyed how it all came together by the end. lots of little morsels of pertinent information and context to the main characters. the side characters are equally as delightful. some caring, some protective, and some are so mean and sassy. this author wrote six crimson cranes so I am excited to get into that series because Forgery of Fate takes place in the same world.
