Midnight Sun by Stephenie Meyer
3.0

I think this book was WAY too long and could have been shorter. If this book were to remain the 600+ pages, I would have liked for it to have encapsulated Twilight, New Moon, Eclipse and Breaking Dawn. That would have made more sense. ⠀

I wish I was able to read Edward’s thoughts when Jacob Black started encroaching and messing with Bella’s feelings, and so on, but it didn’t. Now that I’m older, I see that some of Edward’s thoughts were not...”respectful,” and I mean that by stalking Bella, etc.⠀

Did I love Edward’s perspective? Yes. Did I love reliving my middle school book preferences? Yes. Am I still Team Edward? Always. ⠀

I knew the storyline and it wasn’t groundbreaking for me, but I enjoyed it nonetheless. I enjoyed learning more about the Cullen’s and I definitely prefer Edward’s POV compared to Bella’s. I just feel like there could have been more depth to this one. ⠀
