This is four or five stars, I'm not certain. It would be easier to decide if I hadn't been multitasking so frequently - I know there were details I missed.
That said, I loved this in audiobook. Listening to the complex historical context took much less effort than reading it would have (I think). The narrator is great.
The personal stories of Flavia Lucilla Gaius Vinius Clodianus alternate well with the story of Rome under Domitian. Really good historical fiction. If you like Ancient Rome or Didius Falco mysteries you'll probably enjoy this.
