another becky chambers banger. i’m a wayfarers fan, but this one might be her most cozy and adorable book.
the main characters, dex and mosscap, have a natural dynamic that feels unreal, they are both sweet and understanding, even having little diferences. dex is the epitome of a good human in chambers’ stories:  they’re kind, curious, hopeful and respectful, but also fearful, confused and highly emotional. mosscap is adorable too, in a weird way, because while it has similarities to dex, it’s also kinda devoid of any other personality, and that makes it… well, it makes it robotic lol

as everyone else who has read this book, the universe is great. a world where maybe it doesn’t go all wrong and humans decide on the better option is the perfect place to run away for a few moments and rest.
