I think I was in the wrong mindset for this book. I was expecting a thriller. This isn’t a straightforward thriller, although it’s suspenseful for sure. If I’d read it as lit fic, I would have liked it a lot more, I think. 

The first half of the book is confusing. There’s a twist, and then you figure out why everything was so confusing. I’m not sure it turned out to be an enjoyable read, though.
