Beautiful Country: A Memoir of an Undocumented Childhood by Qian Julie Wang

If you’re looking to *feel* the immigrant struggle and the ups and downs of being a dreamer in America then this is the book for you! No book I’ve read so far describes the anguish of trying to belong in a nation that doesn’t want to include you in its conversations. The whole book will keep you on the edge of your seat figuring out if Qian (Julie) and her Ma Ma and Ba Ba make the “American Dream” come true for them.
