The Conference of the Birds by Ransom Riggs

3.5

The beginning of this felt a little jumbled to pick up where #4 left off. In the previous book everyone was subdued and Miss Peregrine was treating them like children. Now all of a sudden everyone is just over being upset and Miss Peregrine is treating them more like adults. Things they were set on or adamant about in #4 don't seem to apply to this one, even the part where Jacob was told not to trust the Ymbrynes with Noor. Also, (in his book)the wording implied H lived in a loop? The previous book said he didn't. The transition from #4 to #5 was a bit sloppy. It got better after it got going.
The story was good. I don't like Emma as much in this story arc compared to the first one. She's gotten really angsty. Huge cliff hanger at the end of this one, not too happy about that. I hope I can read the next book fairly soon.
