Fake dating trope.
Forced proximity.
Celebrity romance.

Eva moved to LA with a dream but instead she finds herself working two odd jobs to make ends meet. One afternoon, at the coffeeshop where she's a barista, she received a video of boyfriend cheating with her roommate. After months of swooning over the famed TV star visiting the local coffee shop, she finally speaks to him after he comes to her rescue. Secretly she has been pining for him for years on the "fan" site she maintained.

Boone is in need of a public rehab of his image, and he finds himself drawn to ask her to help him change the public perception about his love life. Every minute they spend together, the more their bond tightens from friendship to lovers in a very slow-burn romance.

Hollywood and the girl nextdoor are sweet, caring and lovable in Lucky Star.

Thank you Susannah Nix for the advance reader copy of this novel.
