This could have benefitted from a longer format; more worldbuilding and character development would have gone a long way in fleshing out the story. Because of the length, the reveal feels rushed and out of left field. I don’t even know if the final antagonist was even mentioned by name before the big finale.
Pleiti and Mossa are very cute but I wish they were more fleshed out as well.
That being said, I love detective stories. Lesbian detectives in space is definitely up my alley, and I will be continuing with the series when they’re available from the library.
