Emotional Intelligence
by Daniel Goleman
This book was a little diffuse and not totally focused as I thought it would be on emotional intelligence- the content covers large swaths of psychology (including things like self-control and depression), which mirrors the criticism of emotional intelligence from many in the psychology community that the concept just gives a new name to a specific cluster of existing personality traits and well-established constructs. Either way, if you like psychology, you'll like the book.
