There’s Mountain air and the Coffee Loft flair. Zaki Marsch goes there oft as he loves their Matcha Madness coffee. Arwen Baughn works at Shanna’s Soda Shoppe next door, it helps her to raise extra funds for doing the house repairs and more,but her main concern is sewing Regency Costumes, she has a hiring business for her Wedding Dresses too…..Zaki Marsch who wears no. 87 Jersey plays for the Edge IceHockey team and sends her all kinds of crazy. He wore the same number as her house address,87 Idlewild Way. He ruined her gown to her distress ,the clown! Oh yes he was sorry ,even showed remorse but that doesn’t mean that she’s pleased to see him of course.He’s here with a favour to plead ,along with her friend Tasha ,indeed! She doth acquiesce even though she’s SO not impressed. Arwyn/ Wynnie meets Isla and Amelie/Amms his five and a half year old girls.Hands full with these cuties isn’t tough , they love their daddy ,and he loves them,that’s enough.Their mummy isn’t married to daddy anymore ,they share the care of them usually,but at the moment she’s poorly and staying with her parents.Arwen steps in and away they sail into the most perfect of tales. Zaki has them all taking measurement notes as she’s making him pants and coat, his costume for the ball ,but he’s acting like a baby in front of his giggling girls. “You’re fidgeting.” “Am not, Ow!”“Behind them the twins are erupting into fits of giggles again.”Daddy’s in trouble!” “I am not in trouble.”This was so funny,they all got along nice and sunny,those Westie dogs Laffy and Vennie aren’t half funny! Arwyn witnesses a glimpse of the real Zaki Marsch,the man,the daddy and not the prankster he shows to everyone else. “Don’t you like your King Valentine crown? I cut it out and wrote ‘King Daddy’ and Isla glued on all the sparkles.” “I do. I feel very loved. And very dashing. But … does Wynnie have a Valentine?” “Of course, Daddy,” “Laffy and Vennie are her Valentines!” At home his family comes first ,he even agrees to wear a tutu,now there’s a first.The Regency Ball costume she made for Zaki fit well , you could keep all your Mr. Darcys and all because in this outfit he surpasses the lot ,this real life man is so hot! and away they go to their ball.Arwyn is falling for him,the stars the universe collide there was more to this guy than she ever could have imagined that he’d hide.She also loved to tease his pride “I thought Kingston Brewer was the best shooter on the Edge? And Xavier is pretty good, too.Didn’t he win a big award last year?” “But I have my face on merch bags.That should say something, no?” “All right, Marshy, work your magic.Instruct me in the ways.” Well this was neat his heartbeat kicked up. The way Arwyn said that … ‘Instruct me in the ways’. Zaki had a feeling there were lots of ways he could instruct her in, if given the opportunity here on in.So they are on the same page, those scenes setting the stage with his daughters are so sweet and funny and the prankster has an accomplice now, can you imagine? Arwen has joined the bandwagon! They talked of their origins and their journey thus far . Zaki was born in Denmark and moved swiftly to South Yorkshire ,England where the scenery is green and lush and there’s lots of wildlife to see as well as a castle or three. Her mum’s whereabouts are a little bit hush-hush so she doesn’t push.On her own she’s been for years ,with her mum on some kind of mission.Zaki ,he’s in limbo waiting until Viki is on the mend ,then she’ll have the girls back and they’ll be sharing their time with them,then it’s off back to Canada end of the season( if he can get a trade) for the family of five ,could they maybe add on another to go along for the ride?Zac is in love with his Wynna - Bun , can he make her his lifetime hun? Even his bride. I love ,love loved this story so much !!! It has every last detail down to an art, I was touched.Great interactions the beautiful scenes , descriptors as well. Kerry Evelyn does her research succinctly well. Those characters of hers, she has a knack of making them feel so real instantly , it’s like they’re in the right place and they can make a difference in their own story.The interactions are amazingly fun between Zaki’s family and his Wynna-Bun. Kerry my friend ,you should feel proud ,job well done. This story is everything a wholesome romance should be. Thanks Kerry and encore ,can’t wait to read more.
