Just when Signa thought she had her life figured out a duke is murder in Thorn Grove and Elijah has been accused of the murder. With Death’s brother, Fate, making it seem that it is all Elijah’s fault Signa is once again setting out to discover who the real murderer actually is, but this time she will have some help from Blythe. With so many secrets still being kept will Signa be able to keep those she loves safe and keep her relationships together?

I am obsessed with this series! I think that the second book may be even better than the first and I really loved the first book. With a medium to fast pace Adalyn Grace has you engrossed from the first chapter. I could not stop reading this book, in fact I stopped eating lunch with my coworkers because I just wanted to have more time during the day to read. I loved that Adalyn changed up the POVs this time around. It was extremely enjoyable to get not only Signa’s perspective but also Blythe’s.

While I adore Signa as the female main character and I believe that she is amazing, it was incredible to hear and learn more about Blythe. I love the banter between the cousins and there was a ton of it in this book. Their relationship with one another did have me in all the feels while I was reading. There were definitely times where I needed a break because of what was happening in their relationship. Blythe is just as engaging as Signa is and I love how they bounce off of one another. I am super excited to see how their relationship continues to develop in Wisteria.

This may be one of the weirdest sentences that I have ever typed, but I love Death. He manages to be the calming balance for Signa. Death and Signa together warms my heart. Fate on the other hand I did not care for. I did not trust him and was displeased by his personality and demeanor. While saying this I do also think that he brought an incredible contrast to the other characters who I love so much, minus some of the society girls (but I don’t think we are supposed to care for them 😆).

I am so happy that I waited to read this book until it was closer to the publication date for Wisteria, I know that the next couple of months are going to be challenging. I am super excited to see where the characters will go next and how things will progress and possibly resolve. I know that this is definitely a series that I will be coming back to revisit multiple times in the future.
