The Fallen and Leviathan by Thomas E. Sniegoski

2.0

I get this was a YA novel but it seems written for a much younger audience than most YA stuff. It’s a super easy (in this case that also means boring) read. There’s a fair amount of errors that slipped through editing. Aaron’s character is 100% boring, absolutely no distinctive personality traits. They say in the beginning of the book that he’s bounced around from foster home to foster home because he is “an introvert with a bad temper,” but this ENTIRE book he is the most calm, mild-mannered kid. Might be a good read for a really young kid getting into the supernatural side of literature but if you’re anything above that reading level this will absolutely numb your mind. This book turned me into a serial paragraph-skipper
