Psycho by Robert Bloch
5.0

I love going back to the older horror books. Psycho has inspired so much of the modern horror genre, so I think going back to the roots of horror is important. After reading the book it was no surprise that this helped create one of the most known horror movies, with the scene that makes me do a double take every time I take a shower. The atmosphere that this book creates is impeccable. It was a quick read, but I don't think that it needed to be any longer than it was was needed. It got straight to the point and I still felt like I could form a decent relationship to the characters. I would love to dive more into the psychology of Norman. I think that this book definitely touches on subjects that weren't talked about much during the time of the publishing, so getting a modern take on him would be so interesting.
