Where the Crawdads Sing by Delia Owens

I loved this book! Kya was super likable and interesting and I found the pacing to be perfect, never boring.

The one thing I didn't like was (spoiler ahead) that she was the poet Amanda Hamilton all along. I just didn't find it to be realistic. She lived until age sixty-something and never told Tate or anyone else? And didn't she start collecting those poems when she was quite young? Or at least a teenager? You're telling me a girl who barely has enough to eat and has to fend for herself in every way has time to write poems and send them to the local newspapers where they're repeatedly published? Sorry, I really don't buy that.

Other than that though, loved the characters, loved the plot, loved the descriptions. Truly a fun read with the right amount of mystery and (yay!) some romance as well. I shipped Kya and Tate so hard.
