Power Play Pieces by Ella Merkado

4.0

Ella is back with her latest instalment of the Thunderclap series.

This time our fierce single mum / bookshop owner extraordinaire Audrey is the focus.  For the past 5 years she’s been too busy for dating, choosing to put her son Asher and her business, Rainey Day Bookshop first.  But when 3 men declare an interest can she have the best of all worlds or will it all crumble?

Audrey is such an incredible mum and I absolutely adore her relationship with Asher throughout this book.  When she decides to start dating again, she is not afraid to explore all the options available to her, recognising that her connection to Will, Eliot and Jackson is different and unique but all equally important and valid.

Watching the relationship develop both individually between Audrey and the guys but also between the guys themselves was fun to read, especially with the different POVs.

Special shout out to Asher for being the cutest / most adorable kid on the planet and Savannah for being the best supporter ever.   Those two were definitely scene stealers.
