Stay Sexy and Don't Get Murdered by Georgia Hardstark, Karen Kilgariff
5.0
Stumbled onto this one through a "You should read these five books" list, I think--I had only the vaguest idea of the podcast Kilgariff and Hardstark host, or the "Murderino" group or anything else. However, the essays blew me away--their thoughtful, clear discussion of the conflicting messages women or children or people get, their sharp humor, their honest discussion of the importance of therapy, dealing with issues, etc. These are not rants, these aren't memoirs, but they are funny and somehow illuminating reflections on what it's like to be human, flawed, and healing. I have been recommending this book all over.
