Informative and interesting stories of unsung government employees, reminding the reader of why these types jobs exist and are important, something we sadly need reminding of. Overall a good collection, loved the different writing styles, particularly “the rookie” written by Kamau Bell. There was one story that didn’t land as well as the others, hence the 4 stars. But certainly worth a read and I’m looking forward to discussing it with my book club.
