This is like the book equivalent of a TV drama or reality TV and I mean that in a good way. It was such a good summer read because it was light and fun and fast. Is it a great piece of literature? No. But it’s definitely a cute read that I’m glad I read before the movie comes out. Also, I did love learning some different words and foods that i had never heard before. Even if this crazy lavish lifestyle isn’t the norm, there was still a lot of Asian culture that was mixed in that I really enjoyed learning. All of that mixed in with the fun and crazy wedding and the schemes of the mothers. Just a breezy fun read and I’m always happy for diversity in books. I’m certainly looking forward to this movie!! Also this is such a bad picture but it’s all I’ve got since I read this book on my phone through my library’s ebook app.
