I can’t believe I’m rating this book/trilogy 4 stars, but it had my rapt attention. I came (lol) for the erotica and stayed for the plot and development of the relationships between the three main characters. Amy Pennza did a phenomenal job writing the relationship between Laurent and Varick especially, and Varick and Given. I found this magical system and world more interesting than many books in the fantasy romance genre, and it didn’t need to be (for what I was looking for). I expect I’ll reread this at some point - I grew really fond of the love between the characters.
