Hard to describe, but so good!

Gritty. Unconventional. Heartwarming. Stunning.

Goodness this was excellent! It gave me similar vibes to the movie Good Will Hunting (which I adore) but I could not tell you why.

This was another one I started while sick and looking for something light. It was excellent and hooked me fast. I love kids stories that aren't childish or boring. This is a winner. Coyote is winsome with just the right balance of sweet and chaotic. Rodeo is a perfect blend of soft and rough. The story's windy road took turns I wasn't expecting and danced all over the lines between endearing and comical. I almost cried and I certainly laughed and it truly got me through some sick, pain, tired days.

The first two lines that snagged me and the line toward the end that got me teary. The whole book truly is so good though.

Chapter 1:
But heck, if kittens and slushies aren't worth getting in trouble for, what in the world is?

I had a kitten, which definitely meant I had a problem, but heck, I already had problems, and now I also had Ivan and that sure seemed like an improvement either way.

Chapter 42:
Always kindness, Coyote. Folks like that. They like being talked to like people, like they matter. And at the end of the day, if you give them half a chance, people want to help other people, most of them anyway, they do.
