This is one of the only books I’ve ever read that has left me sobbing. It was probably due to the timing. I had to say an eternal goodbye to my beloved dog Lucy less than a year before reading this. But boy, did the pain of the author hit home. If you’ve ever lost a dog that was a huge part of your life, this will resonate with you and give you a therapeutic cry. It’s also written as an adventure story so I gave extra points for creativity.
