Moments of Malevolence by T.L. Smith
2.0
I got to read this book a few days early, and it was a quick read. Sadly, while I love T.L. Smith's books, this one missed the mark for me.
Mostly it just felt incomplete. There wasn't a lot of development in the plot, and I'm not sure what the main conflict/climax of the book was.
Everything was solved very quickly, and other points of suggested conflict just kind of fizzled out (i.e. the tension with Pops).
If this were the first half of a book or duet, I would have enjoyed it a lot more. As is, I feel like it was setting up for something that never came.
